The KvLS Listening Post will be at the Mela Festival in Hoglands Park on Saturday the 12th and Sunday the 13th of July - come over and say 'hi' :)
How would you describe your approach to therapy?
My approach is pluralistic, which means I don’t believe there’s just one way to heal - and I trust that you know more about what’s right for you than anyone else. I’ll bring different tools into the space, like talking therapy, hypnotherapy, creative exercises or grounding techniques, depending on what feels most supportive for you. We work together as a team, and I’ll always check in to make sure you feel comfortable, understood and never rushed. My aim is to create a warm, down-to-earth space where you feel truly met and accepted just as you are.
What can clients expect from an initial session with you?
The first session is a gentle starting point. There’s no pressure to open up right away - we’ll simply talk about what’s brought you here, what you’d like support with, and how we might work together. I’ll explain how I work and answer any questions, so you can feel safe and at ease. My goal is for you to leave that first session feeling lighter, heard, and reassured that you’re not doing this alone.
How do you create a safe and trusted environment during sessions?
I believe safety comes from being really seen and accepted, without judgement. I offer a calm, compassionate space where you can just be, without needing to pretend or explain everything perfectly. I’ll always listen closely, move at your pace, and gently check in along the way. You’re in control - and I’m here to walk alongside you, not push or pull.
What motivates you to be a therapist?
I’ve always been drawn to understanding people deeply - and I know from personal experience how powerful it can be to have someone truly listen and believe in you when you’re struggling. Holding space for others during life’s toughest moments is a real privilege. I’m motivated by helping people reconnect with their strength, soften their self-judgement, and realise they’re not broken - just human.
What do you hope clients take away from their session(s) with you?
I hope you leave each session feeling a little more grounded, a little more hopeful, and a little more you. That might mean gaining insight, releasing something heavy, or simply feeling seen and supported. Every step - no matter how small - is valid. I want our work together to feel like a steadying hand when you need it most, and to remind you that healing doesn’t have to be done alone.
