Doing Couple Counselling - The KvLS Method
What motivates you to be a therapist?
A desire to contribute to making the world a kinder and more livable place — one moment of genuine human connection at a time.
What are your core values in working with clients?
Attunement, presence, warmth, and respect for each person’s unique experience and pace.
How do you approach difficult or sensitive topics?
Gently and respectfully, while checking for your readiness and permission. I aim to create a sense of safety so that difficult material can emerge at a pace that feels manageable and supportive.
What are your favourite techniques or methods in therapy?
I place great value on listening to the wisdom of the body. I will often invite you to tune into somatic awareness - noticing how emotions and experiences may show up in your posture, movement, breath and listening to whispers coming from various places within the body in the form subtle sensations - tension, tingling, twiching. In therapy, I like to give space to what we “know in our gut” alongside what we understand with our minds.
How would you describe your ideal therapeutic relationship, and what type of client do you work well with?
I value a collaborative, curious, and authentic therapeutic relationship in which both you and I engage in a process of discovery. I have always been fascinated by the human psyche and work best with you when you share my genuine interest in exploring your inner world and getting to know yourself more deeply.
